One of the first 'On the Streets' activities that got noticed further afield was the Methleys' own outdoor cinema 'Screen on the Wall'. The idea was simple - paint one of the gable ends white, put a projector in a bedroom on the opposite side of the road and invite a couple of hundred people out onto the street with their chairs and sofas. Add some popcorn and other refreshments and roll the movie.

Screen on the Wall has run since 1995 with a bit of a special in 1998 when people in the Methleys made their own short films about the neighbourhood to show before the main feature...
